Nestled in the heart of Tairua, our family-focused campground offers the perfect blend of convenience and natural splendour. Just a short stroll away, you'll find the harbour, shops, restaurants, cafes, and a delightful playground, making it an ideal base to explore the stunning Coromandel Peninsula.
We offer a variety of accommodation options to suit your needs, including cabins, a Family Room, and both Powered and Non-Powered camping sites. Most of our spacious sites measure 8 metres by 5 metres, providing ample room for all your camping gear.
As a pet-friendly campground, we welcome your furry family members year-round, subject to a few simple rules to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests.
With our onsite facilities and everything you need just a short walk away; you may find yourself leaving the car parked for much of your stay. Tairua is a charming seaside village, home to a friendly and relaxed community who are eager to share their slice of paradise with visitors.
Tairua has it all – from the adventure of the ocean beach to the shelter of the harbour and estuary, the stunning views from the twin peaks of Mt. Paku, the great fishing and diving around the nearby Slipper, Shoe, and Aldermen Islands, the lush Coromandel Forest Park, and the delectable offerings of local restaurants, cafes, and eclectic shops.
The possibilities for fun are endless – try your hand at snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, diving, freediving, skateboarding or even a game of tennis or golf. Four minutes each way from the campground takes you to each boat ramp. Just a short ferry ride across the harbour, you'll find the breathtaking Pauanui, while the famous Hot Water Beach, Hahei, and the iconic Cathedral Cove are only a 30-minute drive away.
